Startup entrepreneurship has a lot in common with what it takes to be an athlete: excellence, competitiveness, persistence, speed, teamwork. By embracing the spirit of athletic competition, we’d like to nourish the aspirations of entrepreneurs from Taiwan and around the world.
Anita Huang 黃蕙雯
Anita leads the overall planning & operations of Taiwan Startup Stadium. Her professional experience includes executive positions at Yahoo!, Google, Tudou in the greater China region, with responsibilities ranging from marketing management, business development, product management, P&L management, and data analytics. She also managed to survive the lead-up and craziness of a Nasdaq IPO. Anita has advised growth companies in fundraising, business strategy, and brand development. She embraces the sharing economy and has done home+car swapping vacations in 10+ countries. Sportswise, Anita is very bad in anything on a field or court, but is certified to teach adult and kids yoga.
Amanda Liu 劉宥彤
Lead Shooter, Industry Development
Amanda leads Industry Development at Taiwan Startup Stadium. She has over 15 years of experience in technology, entrepreneurship, public relations, and brand development. Starting at XPEC Entertainment, she was in charge of fundraising and investor relationship. In 2003, she co-founded GPing Co., Ltd., Taiwan, an online food and grocery retailer featuring natural and healthy foods. She then worked as the Group Account Director at Ogilvy Public Relations Taiwan working with Nokia, Nokia Siemens, Samsung, Nestle, General Mills, Hong Kong Disneyland, Louis Vuitton, and Adidas. Since 2013 Amanda consulted for DOIT Taiwan (Delivering Open Innovations for Tomorrow), linked over 20 young innovator communities in Taiwan, and produced large scale DOIT annual conference. She is an expert in communication, brand marketing, startup development, and crisis management. In the past, she was a TV travel show host on and explored the marine ecosystem by boat often, so in a way, you could say her favorite sport is sailing!
Jeffrey Ling 林德理
Power Forward, VP of Operations
Jeffrey handles operations in general at Taiwan Startup Stadium (TSS). He spent 10 years as a legal professional, both law firm and in-house, and wandered into the startup world with the founding of Entrepreneurs Society of Taiwan (EST) in January 2011. He tried his hands on his own legal startup as well as led a local team as country manager for a Korean enterprise SaaS startup prior to joining TSS. He is also a on-and-off blogger on various startup-related topics. Jeffrey was born and raised in Malaysia and spent an extended time in New Zealand before transitioning to Taiwan. His best sport is basketball but also enjoys any other team-oriented activities.
Holly Harrington 韓荷麗
Quarterback, VP of Programs & Communications
Holly oversees the marketing & online presence for Taiwan Startup Stadium, and collaborates on the organization of our Accelerator Bootcamp. She is a 10-year resident of Taipei who has provided consulting & original content for a variety of clients, including Fourdesire, StorySense/WhatsTheNumber, Nonzero, Origin Marketing, Discovery TLC, Fun Taiwan's Janet Hsieh, DAMO, and URS155/CAMPOBAG. She has also trained entrepreneurs in social media, efficiency, public speaking, and product demonstration. Holly is a founding member of Forward Taiwan, formed in 2013 to enable local entrepreneurs to attract & retain international talents through immigration reform. Her other passion project is Love, Dadaocheng, begun in 2014 to share her love for the historic district. She studied Political Science at Frostburg State University (Maryland), and is an alumni of AmeriCorps, the U.S. federal volunteer program. She has twice been the subject of Da Ai TV’s documentary series "在台灣站起," which chronicles the lives of foreign professionals in Taiwan. Holly's quite awful at sports, but did take the field the lead sax player in her high school’s championship-winning field marching band. These days, her “sport” is cycling, and her favorite spot to bike to is Shezi Island for some peace and quiet.
Jessie Tang 湯其瑄
Point Guard, Startup Community
Jessie handles recruitment of startups and assisting entrepreneurs to reach global markets through Taiwan Startup Stadium. She is an experienced event planner and coordinator. Jessie always wants to know how big the world is, and is always passionate about new things. Travel and sports are big parts of Jessie’s life. She was not only a leader of her college basketball team but also founded her own dance group: Charming Wine. Diving and surfing are recently big passions in her life.
Han Lee 李翰生
Climber, Global Partnerships
Han is in charge of global partnerships at Taiwan Startup Stadium. For the past four years, he was the APAC operations lead at Mobile Ad-Tech companies Millennial Media and AdMob (Google). There, he built extensive experience in operations, project management, data analytics with strong focus on quality, delivery and efficacy. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking, and snowboarding.
Han在台灣新創競技場負責國際夥伴洽談。在過去工作的四年間，他於行動廣告科技公司Millennial Media 和 Google AdMob 網絡廣告領導APAC的營運，並在任職期間建立豐富的營運、專案管理經驗與資料分析能力，且特別擅長於品質、物流和整體效能的部分。在他的空閒時間內，他喜愛戶外活動，像是攀岩、徒步旅行與滑雪。
Phil Lin 林庭逸
Shortstop, Content & Brand Development
Phil contributes to the development of TSS programs, resources such as the startup wiki, and overall branding for TSS. While initially starting his career in finance as an investment banking analyst focusing on mergers and acquisitions, Phil later transitioned into the field of education by serving as a Project Manager for HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory). More recently, he has developed curriculum and conducted instructor training for a leading US-based educational consultancy. Additionally, Phil has been involved in the design and development of language education apps and authored a publication on Taiwanese Hokkien. He is a graduate of Stanford University and holds advanced degrees from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Columbia University. While perhaps his greatest athletic achievement to date might be his lone pin as a wrestler in junior high school, he loves playing tennis and squash whenever he can find a court and partner.
Charnie Chen 陳巧霓
Swimmer, Startup Community
Charnie handles the recruitment of startup teams and coordinates the startup community in TSS. She studied International Relations and Entrepreneurship in university. Ever since, she has had a huge passion for the startup community. Before joining TSS, she worked in two startup teams, Carpo and Cloudeep, as a marketer and project manager. She was also a delegate of the YEF program in 2012. Charnie is a mountain lover, and enjoys the grandiose landscapes that can only be seen from a peak. Although she has just started, she is trying to conquer more of them in the future.
Charnie 在 TSS 負責團隊招募和新創社群經營的工作。他在大學時期唸的是政治系國際關係組以及創意創業學程，從那時候開始，他就對新創產業懷抱熱情，再加入 TSS 以前曾經加入過兩個新創團隊，Carpo 和 Cloudeep，分別擔任行銷和專案經理的角色。他同時也是 2012 YEF 競賽的代表之一。Charnie 有很好的人際關係處理和簡報技巧，同時也是很好的專案管理者。運動方面，她熱愛爬山，享受在頂端才能看到的美景。雖然他才剛開始訓練，但她會在未來一步一步征服它們。
Jen Chen 陳儀蓁
Runner, Marketing & Programs
Jen handles marketing and programs at TSS. Previously, she worked at the startup StorySense Computing, specializing in app marketing, community management, and public relations, and also conducted marketing campaigns by cases of the startup ParrotTalks and DAMO. Jen later gained project management, marketing strategy and event execution experience in marketing agency. When studying at National Taiwan University (NTU), Jen jumped across disciplines- communications and computing science, went to Helsinki(Finland) as exchange student and appreciated North European's creative style a lot. While living in a varied life, she has additional work experience at the Epoch Foundation, Business Next, and Marketing Intelligence & Consulting Institute. When she isn’t drumming in a jazz band, or running a marathon, Jen can be found getting sunburnt while surfing.
Jen在台灣新創競技場負責行銷與中長期計畫。加入這裡之前，她在科技新創 - StorySense Computing 專攻 APP行銷、使用者社群、媒體公關，也曾以專案形式協助 ParrotTalks、DAMO 等新創團隊規劃行銷活動。而後前往整合行銷公司，在快速的工作環境中累積專案管理、網路行銷策劃、O2O活動執行等實戰經驗，最有趣的是輔導傳統菜市場攤販使用社群媒體。就讀台大時跨域修了行銷傳播和程式語言課程，並獲選前往芬蘭交換，喜歡北歐充滿創意的作風。在多樣的大學生活中，也曾接續在時代基金會、數位時代、資策會見習。是個生活中沒有音樂不行的人，以鼓手身份演出幾次，現在特別喜歡爵士樂。常慢跑、看網球賽，最近迷上馬拉松和衝浪。
Anne Lin 林筱涵
Striker, Media & Communication
Anne is in charge of media & global outreach for TSS. With a marketing and PR background in the game and gaming peripherals industry since 2007, she also has experience covering FMCG and consumer electronics while at Era Ogilvy. As a self-described “Internetholic,” Anne loves all things digital and tech, and swears she couldn’t live without being connected online. Always challenging herself in different ways, she has gone parasailing while being acrophobic and scuba diving even though she can’t swim. Anne loves watching all kinds of sports games and loves the thrill of winning and losing.
Jennifer J Huang 黃靖筑
Triathlete, Event Manager
A jack-of-all-trades, Jennifer manages TSS’s in-house and external events to help shape the TSS community domestically and abroad. Prior to joining TSS, Jennifer had been running her own boutique event planning company in Taiwan. Always on the move, Jennifer is a tireless dynamo adverse to wasting time. Her energy goes toward not only constantly finding new companies and exciting people to collaborate with, but also toward her active lifestyle that includes healthy doses of triathlons, adventurous outdoor activities, and sprinkles of traveling, cooking, and attending cultural events.
多才多藝、什麼都通的Jennifer掌管TSS對內及對外的活動，讓TSS社群能在本土和國際更順利成型。加入 TSS 之前，Jennifer在台灣經營自己的禮宴活動公司。Jennifer是一個不會感到累的發電機，超級反對浪費時間，總是在找事情做。她的能力不只是用在不停地找新公司和令人振奮的夥伴一起合作，也用在她活跳跳的生活風格上，包括健康地來幾發三鐵，冒險刺激的戶外活動，偶爾也來點旅行、烹飪、還有藝文活動。
Amy Lin 林綉慧
Badminton player, Accounting Manager
Applying her thrifty financial sensitivity into our energetic team, Amy manages our accounting and finances. During her years working part-time at an accounting firm as the main financial supporter of her family, Amy became determined to further specialize in accounting. Now a 10-year veteran, she has been optimistic, helpful and a strong believer that one is never too old to continue learning. Amongst her vast twenty years of experiences, Amy has worked for a traditional seafood trading company in Taiwan having stepped on Antarctica for transnational shipments; dealt with financial integration, fund procurement and group tax in credit loan consulting companies while gaining interpersonal communication experience between debtors and banks. During her leisure time, Amy engages in yoga, sets up casual bike ride dates with friends and family and engages in mother and daughter conversations with her two daughters.
