On August 24, Taiwan startups took to the ROCK the MIC stage at Taiwan Startup Stadium to pitch their way to TechCrunch Disrupt SF happening in late September. Competition was fierce, given the spectacular prize: an all-expenses-paid trip to San Francisco, exhibition space in the Taiwan Pavilion at #TCDisrupt, visits to Bay area tech superstars including Facebook and 500 Startups, plus special opportunities to show off their products to media, investors, and Silicon Valley-based mentors.

Judges from TechCrunch, 500 Startups, Cherubic Ventures, and Taiwan Startup Stadium heard 59 pitches in total, with each team only given 2 minutes to shine without the use of slides or a product demo. After nearly two hours of deliberation, 12 winners were chosen:

Thanks to the support of Taiwan's National Development Council (NDC), 2015 marks the first time Taiwan has sponsored a pavilion of this size at a major international tech conference. NDC Minister Tyzz-jiun Duh was on hand at ROCK the MIC 2 to share words of encouragement to the competing teams and to emphasize the commitment of the NDC to supporting Taiwan's growing startup ecosystem.
